New Hours and New Flavors!

We even set our clocks back an hour... There is no denying it, cold winter days are here!!
But no worries... So are the winter flavors!!

Our legendary Pumpkin Spice, Cinnamon and Pomegranate Sorbet are back! The Egnogg will make its first appearance this weekend!

And have you tried the Salty Peanut Crunch? It's already got its own group of fans :)

The other we were talking about what are our favorite winter treats. One of them obviously is Affogato - vanilla gelato dunked in two shots of espresso - who can say no to that? I've also tried it with mint gelato and hazelnut, and loved it!!

I was telling mom one of my favorite drinks is the "London Fog" (earlgrey latte with a dash of vanilla). I think i might have convinced her to make the gelato version! Yumm! Cannot wait to try it!

See you all at the shop! Also go to "Our Shop" tab to check out our Winter and Holiday hours!

Cheers!

Creating New Flavors

It's easy to notice, by looking at our always changing gelato line-up, we like to keep things fresh and try new flavors! We like to challenge ourselves with new ideas, and surprise the taste buds of gelato enthusiasts!

It is the perfect season to experiment with cherries, as they are the focal point of any grocery store or farmers market. Heck, they are falling off the tree in my neighbors yard!

The tart flavor of cherries blend perfectly with our milky gelato base. Add the right amount of chocolate chips, and you have a dreamy summer creation!
"But, what do you name it?" asked mom... Hmmm, what do you name it?
"Should we keep it simple and call it cherry chocolate chip?" suggested Yagmur.

We decided to have fun with it, and asked the staff what they think. Some great ideas came up. Finally we decided on Anu's suggestion:

Cherry Jubilee! That sounds fun and summary!

So, come by and try some soon! It's tricky though; it seems to sell out as soon as we put it on the gelato case! It's a good thing we have 17 other delicious flavors to pick from :)

READY F0R SUMMER!!

This was a long and challenging winter even for the most seasoned Seattleite! Finally it's all behind us!

We spent the rainy months perfecting our new recipes like the dark "Dark Chocolate"and "Coffee Crunch". We also polished some of our traditional flavors like "Nutella", which recently received praise from Seattle Magazine! :)

As UW is completing the quarter with finals this week, and other schools in the neighborhood closing before the end of the month, we know things will get livelier at the shop. And! We are ready with our young staff all trained and excited to scoop! Scoop scoop scoop!! :)

We have also hired a little boy named Atlas (our 14 month old grandson) for quality control :) You will see him running around the shop with a cone in his hand... and Sevim running after him :)

See you all at the shop!
